The University of Ballarat is Victoria’s leading regional University. It has six campuses in Ararat, Ballarat, Horsham and Stawell. Up to 25,000 students study in Higher Education and TAFE courses.

Most of the University’s undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs are located at the Mt Helen campus, 10 kilometres from Ballarat city. The campus has modern teaching and research facilities, library, studios, lecture theatres, student residences, student union and outstanding sporting facilities.

A Technology Centre also forms part of the campus; a number of Australian companies located here include high-tech start-ups, and the State Revenue Office, while the international presence is held by IBM's South East Asia's Pacific office.
